Very friendly and knowledgeable people were working here. Had unbeatable and stunning location close to subway, near Tamahime Inari Shrine. Moreover, it was so close to the main attractions in Tokyo and shops and markets and restaurants and parks...

The staff was accommodating. The authentic breakfast, where they happily provided a vegetarian option for me. This place really embraces the community spirit!
My kids wished for more entertainment options in the common areas.

A Cozy Home Away from Home
The tatami-matted room was charming and comfortable, and the sharing facilities were always clean. The staff were cute and provided excellent dining recommendations. I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfast with a good taste of local flavors. One downside was the location, as it felt a bit far from the more popular areas of Tokyo, but if you're looking for peace and modern touches, it's definitely worth it.

Free internet, English speaking staff and access to the bath
Andon Ryokan is NOT a ryokan so if like me you were expecting a Japanese ryokan then you will be dissappointed. Yes it has tatami rooms and futons but really it is a travellers hostel, a good one at that but not quite how it sells itself. The rooms are very small and there is no privacy - you can hear everyone coming and going and conversations in other rooms.

we loved the breakfast!
shared bathrooms, tiny rooms (literally a box with practically no storage, you're basically living around a mattress on the floor), no decent lighting in the room so you can't see anything after about 5pm, the rooms were really expensive for what they are - boxes that are really far out of the centre of tokyo
